I recently got to meet, and photograph, SrA Robin Brown who’s the Trooper of the Quarter for the Maryland National Guard. Service members have many different interests even if they wear similar clothes. Thanks SrA Brown for serving, entertaining roller derby crowds, and bringing joy to many through cosplay. Kimberly Kerschner, currently serving as a Maryland Army National Guard recruiter, was selected to tryout for the women’s Armed Forces Soccer Team at the start of the 2015 training camp Sept. 12-30, 2015 at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. The Maryland Army National Guard and the Maryland Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team conducts swift water rescue training with the Baltimore County Fire Department on Oct. 8, 2015, at Mt. Vista Park in Kingsville Md. The training centered around extraction in difficult terrain while navigating obstacles. The HART training is performed quarterly, and prepares responders for emergency situations such as hurricanes and floods. The Maryland Army National Guard’s 104th Area Support Medical Company conducts it’s first Medical Warrior Challenge competition on Sept. 12, 2015, to build teamwork and strengthen esprit de corps within the unit.
