Felicia – The Beauty You Are

My earliest memory around being a person of color was when I was ready to go to kindergarten and my mom explaining that my skin was a different color than a lot of the other children that were going to be in the class. She explained to me that I would have to work  twice as hard to earn half as much.

When you see your photos it’s like, ‘Wow that’s me!’ Being in front of the camera feels like you walked outside naked. It’s very exposing.
